Shoulda been a painter
So I had a guy stop by my house yesterday. I wanted him to check out the place and give me an estimate on painting my living room, dining room, stairway, loft and all the ceilings. Well he stopped by and gave me an estimate alright: $975.00. Holy crap man!!! I am in the wrong line of work!!! I painted the guest bathroom a few weeks ago and ended up with a couple little streaks of paint getting on the white ceiling. He checked that out and said he'd repaint the bathroom ceiling for me at no additional cost. He also knocked $50.00 off the price since I was in the military. I thought that was real nice of him. Although I would never ask for a favor, a thank you, a pat on the back or a handout for having served in the military it is something I am very proud of and appreciate the fact that this guy did what he did. Lesson: Although I am not a big fan of people in general, there are still nice ones out there. Give 'em a chance and maybe they'll surprise you! Toodles.

So are you going to pay the $925??? Damn... I'll do it for $400! half off... :)
Yeah I am gonna pay it. It is either that or buy a huge ladder because my ceiling is like 18 ft high. Then I risk falling like I did off my roof. Plus I HATE painting more than anything and suck at it also. You're in for $400.00....any more bidders out there?
I think $925 is a freaking deal. Painting sucks. I painted my entire apt when I moved in and that was the worst job. I hated every minute. I would pay that if I could in a second.
No doubt....painting is my least favorite activity in the world followed closely by walking barefoot across thumb tacks. I told the guy I wanted him to do it. Probably gonna have it done next week...Fri and Sat because it is a 2 day job. The best part is they're gonna move all my shit for me...furniture and stuff so all I have to do is make sure nothing gets stolen ha ha!
