Florida is warm
So about 6pm last night the phone rang. It was my wife's friend from Germany. Well, her friend is German but lives in Florida now. She married an American while in Germany and he got out of the army and they moved to Florida. Anyway, the guy (who I know but not very well) was re-activated by the Army Reserves and sent to Columbia on some kind of anti-drug mission for 6 months. So I guess he picked up the phone and called his wife in Miami yesterday and just came out with, "By the way, I want a divorce." Wow! Out of nowhere he calls 4 months after deploying and comes out with that!!! I told my wife that I think it is pretty obvious he met some woman down there. The guy is actually Columbian and Spanish speaking although he looks like a gringo. To be honest I never thought it would last this long because the guy's wife from Germany is a real pain in the ass by anyone's standards! Even my wife who is her best friend admits the same. So I think it is pretty obvious that he met a girl who shares his culture and all that with him and told his wife he wants a divorce. So why am I writing all this?
I am pissed because after she got off the phone with her friend my wife asked me if she could fly to Miami for a week to stay with her friend and "comfort" her. I said yes since the tickets don't cost that much and I know she wants to help her friend but JESUS, it is 81 degrees in Miami today and about 15 here in the Poconos!!!! More importantly I won't see my little stinky (Samantha) for a damn week! That's why I am pissed. Nah I'm not really pissed just jealous. But like everything else I am sure I will get over it.

Even though I think you ain't right......Steph is lucky to have you. I never thought I would say such nonsense. It takes a really secure guy to admit that he's jealous and to make a joke out of it. Plus, I think it's wonderful that you support her in wanting to be there for her friend.
I can't believe the words that just came out of my fingers.
Oh forgot to mention, it's 75° in the ol' Hky today. It's awful.
Liza you ball bag...stop teasing me about the weather in Hickory. Just kidding...I know I am soooo sweet ain't I? And what do you mean I ain't right?
78degrees and gorgeous here.. I'm sure your wife and kid will miss you but they probably also need a break! LOL.
