Finally Friday

So it was a short week with Columbus Day and all but for some reason it seemed like forever. This weekend we're just gonna lounge around the house and spend lots of time with Stinky. Next Friday I am flying to Tampa for the weekend so I won't get to spend the weekend with her so I am gonna have fun with her this weekend.

What do you think about N Korea? I like how all the clueless libs blame the Bush administration....let's not forget who contributed some of the technology for those slanty eyed bastards to start trying to build nukes....CLINTON and ALBRIGHT! That's right folks they gave the North Koreans reactor technology for their promise not to pursue nuclear weapons. Although I don't think Bush was aggressive enough towards N Korea he is not solely at fault for this. Anyway, they don't even have a nuclear weapon yet so we still have time. Because what exploded was NOT a nuclear weapon. It was the equivalent of a large dirty bomb. The science behind building a nuclear weapon with any kind of significant yield is so friggin hard it's not even funny. Their device was the equivalent of a humongous pile of TNT with some insufficiently enriched plutonium or uranium sitting on top. Not exactly harmless but not a nuclear weapon either.

Elections.....well here's what I think. I do think the republicans will lose seats in the house and senate but they will keep the majority in both. I may be right and I may be wrong but one thing is certain....democrats have no fucking clue and here's why. Scandal after scandal about the republicans (conveniently leaked 45 days out from the elections by democrats) and the libs still can't sew this thing up with any certainty. There are 2 reasons for this: 1) is that the democrats have no ideas at all. When is the last time you heard a democrat campaign on anything other than he disagrees with tax cuts, the war in Iraq, healthcare plans or social security???? When's the last time you heard one of them with an idea of their own? All they do is bash the President which I think people are starting to get sick of. 2) isn't it obvious that all this "news" coming out like the Foley scandal is released 45 days before the election when it is obvious that these folks knew about it for much longer? Like Rep. Chris Shays says (and I am paraphrasing) how is it that Ted Kennedy sank his car in a river drunk and killed a woman and he keeps getting elected? Well because liberals in the state of Massachussetts are fucking morons is the main reason. Bottom line is that people know that this is politics and not liberals caring deeply about the feelings and well-being of the poor kid who got the dirty e mails from Foley. At any rate that's my take on the elections.

Oh and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Hilary Clinton runs for President in 2008. I am HOPING for that. Actually, all republicans are hoping for that.

What else...I heard back from a few of the guys I saw at the reunion that I hadn't heard from in a long time. You know I didn't even realize that the chick who sings that song Who Says you can't go Home with Bon Jovi--her name is Jennifer Nettles--was at my reunion. She's married to one of my classmates. I saw her when I was there and knew she looked familiar but didn't realize it. Pretty funny.
