Painting Part I

Today was day one of the paint job on my house (inside) and all reports so far indicate that the job is going very well. The painter had to go and get 2 additional gallons of white paint for the ceiling so there's $39.00 added to the cost bringing the tally to a whopping $964.00!!! Holy Christ! Anyway, they will be there again tomorrow to finish all the walls and be done by around noon. Also, I joined the golf team at work. Any of you who know me should know my passion for the game of golf. I will be playing after work 2 times every week through September. I am quite happy about this because I can golf during the week and boat/mountain bike on weekends!!! Because of this I didn't get my country club membership renewed this year. Back to the paint thing....you know what is cool? All of the stuff was moved out of the living/dining room area. I told my wife to leave it and I will put everything back after she leaves for Germany Friday. This means that a lot of the stuff we had in there (i.e. bogus knick knacks) will be packed up and put into the storage space because I think it was too cluttered. I might get some pink flamingos to hang on the walls and some inflatable palm trees to go between the couches and stuff!!!! NICE!!! I am also starting to get EXTREMELY upset that my little Samantha is going to be gone for so long. I am not going to be happy come Friday.
